VERMONT
FOR UKRAINE
ABout us

Vermont For Ukraine is an initiative started by two medical students in the Larner College of Medicine at The University of Vermont with a mission to provide essential medical supplies and aid to those affected by the war in Ukraine.
As medical students, we feel it is imperative to help out however we can. For this reason, we began this Vermont for Ukraine to help our Vermont community come together and send aid to those in need in Ukraine.

Ellen Mats
Ellen Mats is a first-year medical student at UVM’s Larner College of Medicine.
“My family comes from Kharkiv, Ukraine, and my grandparents lived there up until 2014 before immigrating to the US. I’ve spent many of my childhood summers in Kharkiv and Crimea and know what a beautiful country Ukraine is and how incredible its people are. This cause is very important to me, and I would love to help get UVM and the broader Vermont community even more involved!”
